In the meantime,
01. I've been away from regular LJ-land for some time. It seems in that time you've gone and gotten a boyfriend, or were at least very good at hiding him before that! What's that story?
Me 'n Andy have been together since the middle of September. The story is that we became very good friends while he dated and broke up with muh gurl Rachael. It actually sounds very incestuous, but really there are no hard feelings and everybody is good friends. We got very close and realized how much we have in common. He asked me out in front of Target after I spilled Jones Soda on my crotch. Apparently I'm still cute when I have a blue stain over my vagina.
02. I didn't know anyone when I was your age who listened to half-decent music (including myself). To what do you attribute your (pretty broad and unusual) taste?
Partially to my dad and partially to being an obsequious teenager. My dad influenced me with a lot of music and also a discriminating, critical way of looking at things. The obsequious teenager part comes from the fact that people I wanted to befriend and (much) older boys that I had a crush on seemed unorthodox, and I tried to impress them by seeking out strange things. It wasn't entirely dishonest though, because I actually really did like the music I absorbed--I just had twelve-year-old motives. I grew out of that. . .by the time I was fifteen.
03. What is, in your opinion, the best picture you've ever taken?
This is too difficult. This one comes pretty close though.
04. Captain Beefheart will always be associated in my brain with you. What about his music inspires your devotion? (Cause honestly, I can see it, but I can't like him yet!)
Because Captain Beefheart doesn't care what you think. He does what he wants in a very childlike, demanding, tyrannical way--and often, what results is something that testifies to his talent as well as his near-insanity.
05. What were you doing the last time you felt a true sense of adventure?
I try to start every day with such a feeling. But getting up at unholy hours to do strange activities with people who really don't need to come along at all (see: my last picture post) pretty much does it for me.
If you want questions, comment and I will give you some.
Time to go!
P.S. School is still wrong and unnatural.

I think it'd be fun to have an interview. Ask away!

2. I also read a lot in your journal about your experiences in school. Do you think that formal education is important? Which is more crucial: life experience, or "book learnin'"? (This is on my mind lately due to my research for a paper and subsequent disgust at the education system as a whole.)
3. Describe your ideal future for about ten years down the line.
4. What is the biggest risk you've ever taken?
5. What part of your heritage are you most proud of and/or interested in?
Also, thank you for the compliments! Some might disagree. I try to use what intelligence I have in the best way possible. Most of all, though, I try to be kind. And unpretentious. I guess it works sometimes!
